Planning your wedding photography

One of the most important tips for wedding photography on your big day is to factor in some time for yourselves, away from everyone else. Just let yourselves be in the moment and enjoy each other for a while.

Allow enough time for moving between venues and for the photos along the way. Rushing around is no fun for anyone; you'll need time to enjoy the day and we will need time to take the beautiful photographs for you to cherish.

When looking at venues think about the quality of light and overall composition of each room. Is the room you’re getting ready in, small, cramped and artificially lit? Photography is sensitive to the light surrounding the subject. If the ambient light is insufficient, there’s only so much we can do without using flash. Beautiful natural light is the key to amazing lifestyle photographs.

Lastly, something to consider is the time of year and the pattern of the sun; try not to have the ceremony too late in the day for fall or winter weddings.
